How can you explain the distant relation between harry and voldemort?

The Gaunts were related to the Peverell's, and since Merope Gaunt is Voldemort's mother, Voldemort is related to the Peverell's. Harry is a direct descendant of the Third Peverell brother, the invisibility cloak ped to Harry from him and his decendants. Since both of them are related to the Peverell's, Voldemort and Harry are very distant cousins.
