Local New Yorkers,what's the feel/vibe for each NYC neighborhoods,which kind of people attract which areas etc?

I'm wondering what the locals think of individual areas. What's the feel, good or bad things, vibes, kind of aspects that attract certain people etc etc etc. what kind of people and opportunities and just anything you can think of. I'm considering moving there in a while, want to get a well-rounded idea of the city and what I could get into. So as far as I know (and please add more if I'm missing any place), i'm wondering about areas such as the Upper West Side, Upper East Side, Midtown,Harlem, Bronx,Theater District, the Flatiron and Gramercy park district, Chelsea, Greenwich Village, the East Village, SoHo, Lower East Side, Little Italy, Chinatown, Tribeca, Wall Street Financial District, South Street Seaport, Battery Park, the Bronx, Brooklyn and Queens. would love vibe info, thanks (oh and I already live in a big city so i'm good with that)
